Structural Engineering
From historical systems to state-of-the-art, we focus on optimal construction techniques that allow the expansion, modification, or renovation of existing structural systems. Our experience allows us to identify problems that would impact a project’s cost and schedule. With our blended firm we are able to effectively keep the intent of the project while making the structural designs safe and cost-effective.
Historic Preservation
Specializing in historical restoration, we have a familiarity with classical material and construction techniques that we couple with a multitude of solutions; involving technology and materials that modernize the building without erasing its history. We balance the question of what to replace and what to keep by evaluating these considerations: historical authenticity, technical performance, longevity, expense, product availability, construction inconvenience, and potential disturbance of hazardous materials.
